Drako's Eye Drone Services provides rapid-response aerial support across rural Alberta — for emergency agencies, municipalities, and the people who live and work on the land. Overhead awareness, thermal imaging, and incident documentation, on scene when minutes matter.
A web page can only say so much — call or text and we'll talk it through. Any time, day or night.
When someone needs a picture from above — fast, in the dark, in the cold — we launch. Our aircraft carry a full professional sensor and tool suite, so the response on the ground gets far more than a camera in the sky.
A live overhead picture of an unfolding scene — scale, access routes, hazards, and movement — so the people on the ground can make faster, safer decisions.
Near-infrared imaging shows a scene in full, natural colour in total darkness — not a grainy green blur, but a clear picture when there is no light at all.
Radiometric thermal finds people, animals, and hot spots through darkness, smoke, and dense cover — the heat the naked eye simply can't see.
An onboard laser fixes the exact distance and coordinates of a target on the ground, so responders know precisely where to go — no guesswork.
A loudhailer to speak to people on the ground from above, and a searchlight to turn night into day over a scene — we can guide, warn, and illuminate.
Clear aerial imagery for investigation and reporting, plus a constant second set of eyes overhead watching conditions and personnel.
Both Matrice aircraft can fly completely dark — no strobes, no arm lights. From altitude they are already hard to hear; unlit, there is nothing on the ground to see. In daylight we can watch a scene without ever announcing we are there — and at night we run the position lights Transport Canada requires. Discretion, always inside the rules.
Focused on emergency response. We are not a survey or mapping service — our work supports the people on the ground. Beyond emergency scenes, we provide aerial observation, thermal imaging, and incident documentation for municipalities, landowners, and event organizers — ask us what the aircraft can do for your department.
Drako's Eye supports the emergency and enforcement agencies that protect rural Alberta — and takes calls from the municipalities, residents, and landowners of the region directly.
The partner we work with most. Thermal imaging to find hotspots and the seat of a fire, overhead awareness of how it's spreading, and a constant eye on crew safety — for structure fires, grass fires, and wildfire response across rural Alberta.

No forms, no portals, no waiting on hold. You reach a person — and the response starts.
Reach us directly, any time of day or night. Tell us where you are and what you're dealing with — plain and simple.
→We confirm the situation, plan the flight, and get the right aircraft in the air fast — day, night, or hard weather.
→You get the view from above — live awareness, thermal imaging, and a clear record — so the response on the ground is faster and safer.
Like the air-support services rural Albertans already rely on, we're built to work behind the scenes: professional, disciplined, and safety-first. You lead the response on the ground; we give you the view from above.
Transport Canada Advanced RPAS certification, current and on file — plus a Restricted Operator Certificate (ROC‑A) for aeronautical radio, so we can coordinate directly with aircraft and airband traffic near a scene. We fully abide by every Transport Canada regulation for complex airspace and night operations.
A standardized DJI Enterprise fleet — the professional public-safety standard — chosen for cold-weather, low-light rural emergency work, not consumer hardware.
Standard operating procedures and per-aircraft logs, reviewed on a fixed cycle so every mission runs to the same standard.
We don't cap coverage at a set distance. From Delia, we respond as far as we can safely travel and fly within about an hour of your call.
For the serious work — thermal, all-weather, night operations — we fly DJI Enterprise aircraft, the professional platform built for public safety, and back them with high-end DJI camera drones for daylight tasks. Every aircraft runs on one compatible system.
Our thermal, all-weather emergency work is flown on DJI Enterprise aircraft — the professional public-safety standard — backed by high-end camera drones for daylight support.
Thermal, near-infrared colour night vision, laser rangefinder, and high-power zoom — the complete picture, from one aircraft.

Drako's Eye is based in Delia, Alberta, and we don't draw a hard line on a map. About an hour is what we can safely reach for a rapid response — but distance itself isn't a limit. When time isn't the constraint, we go wherever we're needed.
Roughly an hour for rapid response · no set distance when time allows.
The things people ask before they call. If yours isn't here, just ask us directly.
Anyone. Agencies, municipalities, and members of the public can all reach out and request a response — you don't need to be an agency or hold a retainer to call.
One rate, for everyone. The same call-out rate applies whether or not you hold a retainer — a retainer only secures priority coverage for your region. Call or text and we'll give you a straight number for what you need.
We're based in Delia and can safely reach much of the surrounding region within about an hour for a rapid response. But we don't set a hard limit on distance — when time isn't the constraint, we'll travel wherever we're needed. We fly day or night and in the cold, the conditions rural emergencies actually happen in.
For thermal, all-weather emergency work we fly DJI Enterprise aircraft — the Matrice 30T and Matrice 4T — each carrying a full suite: thermal, colour night vision, laser rangefinder, zoom, loudhailer, and searchlight. These are backed by DJI Mavic 3 Pro and Mini 4 Pro camera drones for high-definition daylight work. Everything runs on one compatible professional system, and we're expanding the fleet as we grow.
No. For any life-threatening emergency, always call 911 first. Drako's Eye adds a view from above in support of the response — we don't replace emergency services.
Emergency support from the air. Our DJI Enterprise aircraft carry thermal imaging, near-infrared colour night vision, a laser rangefinder for pinpointing exact locations, plus a loudhailer and searchlight to reach the ground directly — backed by live overhead awareness, safety overwatch, and incident documentation. Beyond emergency scenes, we also provide aerial observation, thermal imaging, and incident documentation for municipalities, landowners, and event organizers.
A letter of support does two things: it helps Drako's Eye secure the equipment and funding to serve more communities, and it shows partners and funders that this service is genuinely needed. If we've helped you — or you believe in what we're building — we'd be honored to receive your words.
This is where the voices of the communities, agencies, and partners we serve will appear. Yours could be the first.

Agencies, municipalities, and members of the public can all reach out — to request a response, discuss coverage for your region, or ask about a standing retainer.
Call 911 first for any life-threatening emergency.
For other situations where a view from above would help, anyone can request a Drako's Eye response — you don't need to be an agency or hold a retainer.
The same call-out rates apply whether or not you hold a retainer. A retainer doesn't buy a cheaper call — it secures priority coverage and reserved availability for your region.
